What have I been doing?

Well, it's almost Christmas, the finals are over (I made all A's), I still have presents to wrap and a house to clean before my family arrives. So, I thought it was time to share a few pics of what I have been up to!

Have a blessed Christmas!

Long time no hear!

Hi all, I know it's been awhile since my last post but school is so intense I'm having trouble keeping up with the pleasures in life! I did have to make a box to share some items that told about my life with a class of 3rd graders so this is what I did with the box.

This next pic is really dark but this is the card I swapped at the Louisville Regionals. It was inspired by a card I saw on Spliltcoast but I don't have the link right now. I'll have to get it later!

I know it's not much but there will be life after I graduate! For now it'll have to be slow and steady!

Have an awesome day!

Hostess Club

Well, I finally was able to get some pictures of tonights projects. I have a hostess club that focuses on creative gifts, so tonights theme is classroom gifts. Sometimes we just need a cute way to say I'm glad I know you!

All is quiet!

Things have gotten very quiet now that all visiting family have left and the kids are back in school. I'm not sure I like that very much! I love life when there are tons of people around me so when my house is full of people and laughter I'm most happiest!

I have a demo mtg this weekend and will be participating in a card and ribbon swap! I'm so excited about the ribbon I can't wait to get my hands on all of it!

This is the card I'll be swapping with my fellow demonstrators! Hope they like it! I used the new hostess set "Garden Silhouettes" and the "Monet on Crack" challenge from Splitcoaststampers.

Let me know what you think!

So much fun!!!!!!!!

I have had a wonderful week stamping with my mom and sister! They live in South Texas and have come to Kentucky to visit. We have spent the week stamping on candles beading pens, scrapbooking on chipboard albums and making cards! I'll post more pics later but here are the candles we created! It was fun to watch their reactions at just how easy it was to make these candles!

Stamp Camp!

I had a great night visiting with friends and creating a great gift. We made a beaded pen, post-it cover, clippie and 4 cards that we placed in a clear box! They really turned out great! We used the Barocque Motif, old olive paper and ink and the new purely pomegranate paper and ink! We also used some of the new barocque paper on the post-it and the pen! I love it!

Mad Rush!

I have be organizing and cleaning for the big family rush! My family is so excited because our family from Texas will be arriving on Tuesday and will visit for a week then our family from England will come the following week to spend a week! I did manage to get ready for a workshop last night and will squeeze in a stamp camp on Monday. Here is the project we completed at the workshop last night. This is just a two page book but the girls all made four page books!

Stamp Camp

Before the big family rush, I'm planning a stamp camp for friends I haven't seen all summer! We'll be making four cards, a post-it note holder, a beaded pen and a clippie. I made this one for my sister! The camp will be using one of the stamp sets out of the new catty!

I just love the clear boxes they add so much to the finished project!

Schools Finally Out for Summer!

Well, I'm finally out of school! It's been crazy with me in school the kids out of school and Sarah holding down her first job! As you might have guessed I haven't had much time for stamping! I did have a hostess club meeting last month and we had a good time making a summer hostess gift!

More Cards

I'm a terrible photographer so you can't see that the cake card is actually embossed and the sparkles don't seem to show up either. I did happen to get my hostess club started and these are the cards we completed. The group has decided to work on gifts when we meet monthly, that should be fun! I also included a gift for my friend Jen's new baby boy, Max!

Getting Back to my stamping!

I have had very little time to stamp but did want to share a few photos of some cards I've been able to finish! I'm kinda in the mood for white!

Lost in the Haze!

It's been forever since I last posted, so much for my new Year's resolution! Anyway, I've just been wrapped up in life and I'm now trying to fight my way through the haze. I have two more weeks of school and then I'll have a month off! Yea! My 12 year old daughter broke her arm and we have been consumed with that event since she might be facing surgery. I have had a little time to do what I love the most but not much. I was able to make a few cards, modify a clip board and get things ready for a Mother's Day class. Other than that I didn't get to host a workshop or a class in April due to my school calendar. So many assignments so little time! What I want to be saying is "so many stamps so little time"! Oh well, May and July will be the months for that.

New Slide Show

I'm so excited that I was able to figure out how to get this slide show of my projects posted here. I'm not that computer savvy and sometimes these things take forever. This was so simple and I love it!

Finished Projects!

Here are a few pics of projects I have been able to finish!

What's been happening?

I have had sick kiddos for the last two weeks. My son has pneumonia and my daughter has the yuck. Needless to say I haven't had a minute to think much less post anything. Here are a few pics from projects I've been working on!

Spring Fever Promo

I finally received my new paper and roller and can't wait to get started on some new projects! The papers are so pretty and I have been so inspired by all the cards on Splitcoast. I just hope I can get to my work table soon.

Firecracker Designs by Pamela

My very good friend Pam is having her rubber stamp business featured in the March issue of Rubber Stamper Magazine. I knew something was going to be published but until I actually saw it I couldn't believe it. Even after I saw it I couldn't believe it! I'm so excited for her I can hardly stand it! Be sure to check out her web site and the article on pages 48-49 of the magazine. Way to go Pam!

Why Blog?

I keep wondering why I'm doing this. I can't possibly have the time to keep it current, fun and informative! Yet, here I am hoping for the best! Wish me luck!!!!!!!!
